Hello everyone,

It has definitely been a long long while since I posted anything. However, it has been a god awful past couple of years with pandemic, bad economy and what have you. But as they say, there is always sunshine after the rain. Over this period of time, Tang Qi has been very hard at work and hence, the Lotus Step story has finished its course and all 4 volumes of the novel and its little novella has all been published.

Below is the cover of the final volume and the cover of the novella (smaller gold book, the title of the novella is the title of this post) and I want everyone to pay attention to the cover of the novella as they have our favourite characters on it...... A black dragon... and a white phoenix? Hmm.... I wonder who they are...

Before I spill the beans, and satisfy everyone's curiosity, I would like to say that the conclusion of the Lotus Step story had me in total tears (someone pass me tissues please). Just when I thought, 'OMG... is it a BE ending... how could Tang Qi do this to me... nooooo... etc', my heart fluttered with hope as soon as I opened the little novella that accompanied the final volume in the Lotus Step story. Turns out that there was more story to be told... even more loose ends to tie up... and a wonderful surprise.

Ever wonder why Lian Song and Cheng Yu had a constant love and hate relationship throughout "Ten Thousand Miles of Peach Blossoms" and "Pillow Book." Well, the answer lies in the ending to the Lotus Step Story and how an ancient goddess's love for humankind could compel her to make the final sacrifice, one that will bring her back to her lover forever. So why am I writing this? It is because I have decided to translate it. And the reason why is simple....

It ties up loose ends in all the previous novels. And most of all, everyone has been very keen to know how Shao Wan returns and Mo Yuan's reaction to it. Ah well, the surprise is in this little novella. This novella is the epilogue to Lotus Step and the prologue to Bodhi Fate.

Please stay tuned for the first chapters of the novella. It will have everyone's favourite characters, including our all time love - Dong Hua Di Jun.
